DOI : 10.21566/tbmaed.01228 - In this study, a protocol for in vitro propagation of endemic Iris galatica species was developed. For this purpose, immature embryo and leaf explants of I. galatica were cultured on Murashige ve Skoog (MS) media supplemented with various concentrations and combination of thidiazuron (TDZ), and α-naphthalenacetic acid (NAA). 4.85 shoot per embryo and 3.04 shoot per leaf explant were obtained. 3-5 cm rejenerated shoots were rooted and the best medium for rooting was obtained from 1 mg/l IBA or 1 mg/l NAA. Keywords : Iris galatica, tissue culture, in vitro shoot regeneration, immature embryo, rooting
