DOI : 10.21566/tarbitderg.282858 - The objective of this study was to evaluate possible effects of mineral fertilizer, one commercial and five N2-fixing and/or P-solubilizing microorganism based bio-fertilizers (F1: B. atrophaeus 55/6+B. megaterium 63/1+P. fluorescens 9/7; F2: B. simplex 6/4+ B. subtlis B2/8+P. putida 3/10; F3: B. pumilus 35/6+P. polymyxa 2/2+Pseudomonas sp.27/3; F4: B. pumilus RC19+P. polymyxa RC35+P. putida 29/2; F5: B. lentus 29/6+P. polymyxa RC14+P. putida RC06), developed in seven organic and inorganic solid carriers (tea waste, peat, perlite, leonardite, zeolite, and vermiculite) and liquid carriers based formulations were evaluated for their growth and enzyme activities of tea under natural soil conditions of Rize, in two years. The experiment was arranged as a completely randomized two-factor design seven carriers, eight treatments, and five replications (each having four saplings). Bacterial combinations efficiency was variable and depended on the inoculants strain, carrier material and parameters evaluated. Bio-fertilizers formulations stimulated overall plant growth, including shoot development, plant height, trunk diameter, leaf yield, chlorophyll and anthocyanin content, and activities of oxidative, catalytic, hydrolytic and anti-oxidative enzymes of Turkish registered tea clones Hayrat. Bacterial combinations improved for enhanced plant growth promotion will enable reductions in inputs of chemical fertiliser, had a potential to be used as a bio-fertilizer in sustainable and organic tea production.
