- This study was conducted to compare semolina colors of 25 durum wheat genotypes were grown at 3 different locations in 2007-2008 season by using Gardner and MiniScan devices. Beside, some quality analyses which were important in durum wheat breeding were performed and results were evaluated with determined color values. Results revealed that similar semolina b yellowness color values were obtained from two different devices which work with same principle and also samples were classified in similar statistical group. It was determined that correlation value (r) between semolina b yellowness values of both two devices was 0,98** and also correlation between grain and semolina b values was quite low. SDS sedimentation and semolina b values of two different devices were examined and Line 9 had better quality than standard varieties used. It was concluded that Line 9 was suggested to next stage of durum wheat breeding program in terms of quality. Keywords : Durum wheat, yellow color pigment, semolina quality
