This research was carried out in the experimental fields of Ankara University, Faculty of Agriculture, Field
Crops Department between the years of 2013 and 2014, to observe the effect of different fertilizer doses
on the yield and quality parameters of fiddleneck (Phacelia tanacetifolia Benth.). The research was set up
in 3 replicates compatible with split parcel experimental design tecnique in random blocks. Three different
fiddleneck varieties (Sağlamtimur, Stala, Enton) were sown to main parcels and 5 different nitrogenous
fertilizer doses (0 kg/da, 2.5 kg/da, 7.5 kg/da, 10 kg/da) were applied to sub-plots. Plant height, fresh
herbage yield, hay yield, dry matter yield and crude protein yield are recorede in the experimental. CV
Stala were found superior regarding it`s plant height (72.65 cm, 84.76 cm), fresh herb yield (2138.00 kg/da,
2385.60 kg/da), hay yield (510.83 kg/da, 554.60 kg/da), dry matter yield (456.55 kg/da, 495.99 kg/da) and
crude protein yield (72.92 kg/da, 76.43 kg/da) in 2013 and 2014. The nitrogen dose for a high-yield and
high-quality production was determined as 10 kg/da.
