The present research was conducted during 2014 in order to determine of sage (Salvia officinalis L.),
oregano (Origanum onites L.) and fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Miller) essential oils on potato tuber yield and
some yield parameters. Potato tubers were treated before sowing in different concentrations (150, 300, 450
and 600 ppm) sage, oregano and fennel essential oils. Tuber number per plant, tuber yield per hill, average
tuber weight, marketable tuber yield and total tuber yield parameters investigated in the study. Essential oil
treatments, treatment dosses and treatment x dose interactions were statistically significant for the all
parameters examined in the study. It was found that potato tuber yield could be increased with essential oil
treatments at different concentrations; however some essential oils have to exhibit adverse effects in high
doses.
