DOI : 10.21566/tarbitderg.281833 - This study has been conducted to determine the suitibility of regional ecology and performance of advanced potato breeding clones in farming conditions at Erzurum (Pasinler) and Bitlis (Ahlat) provinces during 2014. Five advanced breeding clone, developed within Eastern Anatolia Agricultural Research Institute potato breeding programme, and three control varieties (Agria, Granola, Soleia) were planted in the first week of May and the experimental design was randomized complete block design (RCBD) with 4 replicates. Total and marketable tuber yields per hectare, specific gravity, dry matter and starch content were examined. As a result of the study, significant effects of genotypes were determined on total and marketable tuber yields per hectare, specific gravity and dry matter content. Tuber yield of the genotypes were changed between 52.0 - 32.5 ton/ha and 26.6-17.4 ton/ha under Ahlat and Pasinler conditions respectively. According to the results of this research, the highest dry matter (24.3%) and specific gravity (1.097) were obtained from genotype 07VaS 59. According to the different farm conditions data and stability analysis results, two advanced breeding clones can be suggested as a new kind of candidate varieties Keywords : Potato, Solanum tuberosum L., clonal selection, genotype
