¹ Tarımsal Ekonomi ve Politika Geliştirme Enstitüsü, Ankara DOI : 10.21566/tarbitderg.282861 - Turkey`s sugar policy based on to supply domestic demand firstly with domestic production. New regulations were made according to this aim with numbered 4634 Sugar Law which come into force in 2001.The aim of this law is to supply domestic demand with domestic production and as required for export to pricing sugar regime in Turkey with the principles and procedures in sugar production and to regulate marketing conditions and methods.The basic aim of this research is to introduce the innovations of the Sugar Law numbered as 4634 and to examine the effects of this innovations on sugar production.The constitution of sugar institution and board is inside of innovations of the law. A step was taken with this law, for constituting free market conditions for areas like sugar beet planting field, pricing and trading. To pave the way of customizing the sugar factories is the must important innovations of the main ones. For the reason that the quota regulations that are come from the law include especially directly the isoglucose which is accepted as the alternative of sugar, the production of this crop should be observed closed.
