- This research has been carried out in the villages of Polatlı and Kalecik districts of Ankara province. In this research, the impact of `Common Used Village Pastures Improvement and Management with the Farmer Participation Project` on farmers is investigated. In this project, socioeconomic factors, factors influencing farmer preferences and farmer-pasture relation were investigated. Pasture lands are important source of roughage in research area. Although multidiscipline approach was considered in project, emphasis was given just to pasture improvement aspect rather than farmer participation in project implementation. For this reason, adapted farmers were not enough number in the pasture improvement and management project. Finally, pasture improvement project was evaluated successful only by 28% of farmers participated. Keywords : Extension work, evaluation, farmer participation
