This research was conducted to determine the effect of growing location and some bread wheat cultivars grown in Turkiye on preharvest field sprouting. Three red and two white bread wheat cultivars grown at eleven locations were tested for falling number. Highly significant (P < 0.01) genotype, environment, and genotype X environment. Interactions were detected for falling number. In general, red cultivars revealed less sprouting than white cultivars white cultivars also differed for sprouting. Kıraç 66, a white cultivar, sprouted less then Gerek 79.
