1 Tarla Bitkileri Merkez Araştırma Enstitüsü, Yenimahalle-Ankara - The research was carried out to determine on grain yield and yield component of green and red lentils in different sowing dates. In Haymana, experiment was conducted in Randomized Block Design in years of 2003, 2004 and 2005. In each experiment, 12 genotypes were used and yield (kg/da), winter damage, 50% the number of days to flowering, number of days to maturity, 100-grain weight (g) and plant height were observed. The highest and the lowest average yield in the experiments were 176.2 kg/da and 105.3 kg/da in winter red small sized lentil and spring green large sized lentil respectively. The difference between the average yield of the experiments was significant (P<0.01). Keywords : Green and red lentil, yield, seed size, winter, spring
