- In this study, the relations between yield and plant height, spike lenght, number of grain per spike, number of spike per m2, 1000 kernel weight, protein content, cold and winter damage in some barley varieties released for Central Anatolia and Transtional zones were investigated. The results showed that there is a significant relation between yield and plant height (r = 0.786**) in cultivar Yıldırım; number of spike per m2 (r = 0.903**) in cultivar Bülbül-89; spike lenght (r = - 0.506**) in cultivar Yesevi-93; number of grain per spike (r = 0.301**) in cultivar Tarm-92; 1000 kernel weight (r = - 0.838**) in cultivar Obruk-86; protein content (r = 0.275**) in cultivar Yıldırım; winter damage (r = - 0.487) in Tarm-92; cold damage (r = - 0.357**) in Tarm-92.
