1 Tarla Bitkileri Merkez Araştırma Enstitüsü, Bitki Hastalıkları ve Dayanıklılık Islahı Bölümü - During the growing season of wheat, barley and chickpea, there are a lot of losses yield and quality due to biotic and abiotic stress factors. Yellow rust (Puccinia striiformis f.sp. tritici ), Bunt (Tilletia foetida, Tilletia caries) and Smut (Ustilago tritici), in wheat, Scald (Rhynchosporium secalis) and barley leaf stripe (Pyrenophora gramineum) in barley, and Anthracnose (Ascochyta rabiei ) in chickpea were the most important diseases in Central Anatolia condition. The farmers prefer applying fungicide for controlling of diseases because of easy and more effect way. But there are some disadvantages of applying fungicide. For example increasing product cost and limited organic production. The most important disadvantage is pollution of environment condition. Residues result of applying pesticides are affected other organisms and even health of people. Removing these disadvantages need to be additional budget for government. Genetic resistance is cheap and practical control method for removing above disadvantages.
