One of the important problem for winter vetch production in Central Anatolia is weed control. Because of non-existence of an effective herbicide, mechanic means are the only way of control. The second important problem is seed supply. Objective of this research is to solve the two main problems by interrow cultivation for weed control by utilising wide seed row spacing and determine teh optimum seed rate for maximum seed yield. The plant materail is Tarmbeyazı-98 (Vicia pannonica Crantz). The trials were set up split plot (RCB) with 3 replicates.Main plots was row spacing (45 and 60 cm), sub-plots were 5 seed rates ranging from 100 to 500 seed/m2. Plant height, pod number, branch number, 1000 kernel weight, plant number per squaremeter, biological yield, grain yield and harvest index were determined. According to 3-year results only eed rate was effective on grain yield. The physical optimum seed rate was 192 seed /m2. Highest positive corelation with grain yield was obtained with seed number per pod and pod number per plant. The highest negative correlation with grain yield was obtained with plant number per square meter.
