¹ Atatürk Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Tarla Bitkileri Bölümü, ERZURUM - In this study, some quality properties of foreign origin and domestic potatoes grown in the ecological conditions of Erzurum in 1998 and 1999 were determined. According to two years-means results of the research, the specific gravity, dry matter content, starch content, protein content. chips productivity and chips oil absorption ratio of the varieties showed a change as 1.066-1.101, %17.87-27.54, %11.58-17.97, %7.48-10.51, %34.01 -39.84 and %24.92-35.83 respectively. L Ngetta, Ardenta. Fianna. 34 Number Strain and Vangogh gave better results in terms of quality traits studied. Keywords : Potatoe, yield, quality
