THE EFFECTS OF DIFFERENT NITROGEN AND PHOSPHORUS DOSES ON YIELD, YIELD COMPONENTS AND SOME QUALITY CHARACTERS OF BARLEY (Hordeum vulgare)
According to the results obtained, the effects of nitrogen fertilizers were significant on all investigated characters. With increased nitrogen doses, grain yield increased except for 20 kg N/da application. Phosphorus rates had no effect on the grain number ear-1 and protein content, but it increased plant height, ear length, and grain yield. The results showed that 8 kg P205/da and 12 kg N/da doses were favorable applications for high grain yield in Isparta region.
