A RESEARCH ON YIELD AND YIELD COMPONENTS OF DIFFERENT ORIGINATED ANISE ( Pimpinella anisum L.) POPULATIONS

1 Ankara Üniversitesi, Ziraat Fakültesi, Tarla Bitkileri Bölümü 06110 - Ankara - This research was carried out at University of Ankara, Faculty of Agriculture, Field Crops Department experimental field in 1996. Seeds collected from thirty different anise production area were used as study material. Experiment was conducted in randomised block design with three replications. Sowing rate was 2 kg/da and rows were spaced 30 cm apart.

According to the results of this research, following traits ranged as indicated: Seed yield 56.5-88.9 kg/da, biological yield 165.8-237.5 kg/da, seed yield per plant 1.04-2.31 g, one thousand seed weight 4.00-5.39 g, plant height 44.2-58.9 cm, branch number 5.13-8.33, branches with seed 3.00-5.23, umbellet number 15.3-22.2.
