This research was carried out at the experimental plots of Field Crops Department in Agricultural Faculty of Ankara University in 1999. The aim of this research was to determine the effects of CCC (cycocel) doses which was treated at different growth stages on yield and yield components of faba bean. A large seeded faba bean line (Acces. S 84064) obtained from Faba Bean Breeding Programme of the Department was used as seed material. CCC solutions with 0, 500, 750 and 1000 ppm doses were applied at the three-leaves, six- leaves and pod formation stages of plants. According to the results of this research; 500 ppm CCC dose which was treated at three -leaves stage application has shortened plant height while 750 ppm CCC at three -leaves stage has increased biological and grain yield per plant and hundred grain weight. Also 1000 ppm application at three -leaves stage has increased the number of seeds per pod and protein content, while 500 ppm CCC at pods formation stage decreased first pod height. According to the applications: plant height 42.80-48.86 cm, first pod height 13.86-18.46 cm, pods number per plant 2.83-4.15, biological yield per plant 6.00-19.20 g, grain yield per plant 3.57-l 1.03 g, hundred grain weight 70.14-91.35 g and protein content of grain 26.35-29.98 % have been observed. It was concluded that, the increasing doses CCC with late stage application could not increase yield and yield components. Best results were obtained from three-leaves stage at 500 ppm and 750 ppm dose applications.
