- This research was conducted at the University of Ankara, Faculty of Agriculture, Field Crops Department laboratories as two different experiments. The seeds belong to years of 1992 and 1993 were used in this research. At the first experiment, seeds of 1993 were treated with various gibberellic acid doses (50, 100, 150, 200 ppm) for two different periods (6 and 12 hours). At the second experiment, seeds of 1992 and seeds collected at two different times in 1993 were treated with three applications (cold storage, GA3 treatment and cold storage + GA3 treatments). According to the results of this research, at the first experiment, the highest germination rate (65%) was obtained from seeds treated at 200 ppm GA3 with 12 hour. At the second experiment, the highest value (75%) was recorded from seeds collected at the first time of and treated cold storage + GA3.
