- This research was carried out to determine forage yield of crimson clover varieties under Ankara conditions at the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ankara in 1992. In this research, 5 crimson clover varieties were used as material. The means of plant heights of crimson clover varieties were recorded between 37.18 cm (Tombolo) - 23.77 cm (Ostsaat). Forage Yield of varieties were found 2127.01 kg/da (Tombolo) - 1352.90 kg/da (Dixie). The means of hay yield in crimson clover varieties were varied between 429.76 kg/da (Trincat) - 303.33 kg/da (Dixie). Dry matter yield of varieties were obtained between 389.22 kg/da (Trincat) - 242.76 kg/da (Dixie). Crude protein ratio and crude protein yield per decare were found between 17.38% (Poppelsdorfer) - 11.42% (Trincat), and 56.82 (Poppelsdorfer) - 30.88 (Dixie), in order. Keywords : Crimson clover; Trifolium incarnatum L.; forage yield; crude protein ratio
