Biplot Analysis of Some Advanced Bread Wheat Genotypes in Terms of Yield and Quality Parameters
2 Artuklu Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Meslek Yüksek Okulu, Mardin DOI : 10.21566/tarbitderg.359092 - This study was conducted in randomized complete block design with 4 replications in 3 locations (Diyarbakir, Ceylanpınar and Hazro) under rainfall conditions during 2014–2015 growing season. The purpose of the study is to determine genotypes with high yield, large adaptation ability and high quality. Twenty advanced lines and five checks were evaluated in terms of Zeleny sedimentation, protein content, test weight (TW), thousand grain weight (TGW) and grain yield. According to the results of analysis of variance, significant differences were determined for Z. sedimentation, test weight (TW), thousand grain weight (TGW) and grain yield at the level of 1%. Grain yields of genotypes ranged from 564–678 kg da-1, Z. sedimentation 25.8–41.5, thousand grain weight (TGW) 30.0–41.4 g, and test weight (TW) 78.2–82.7. Biplot analysis method was performed to evaluate relation between traits, genotype-traits and environmenttraits. According to GGE-biplot results, a high and significant correlation was determined between the test weight and thousand grain weight and grain yield, and between protein content and Z. sedimentation as well. Dinç (control) showed the best performance as grain yield and test weight. G7, G9, G11, G12, G16 and G18 have superiority in quality traits such as Z. sedimentation, 1000-grain weight, and protein content. Dinç can be recommended for field conditions. Line, 7, 9, 11, 12, 16 and line 18 can be evaluated for further breeding studies. Keywords : Wheat, yield, quality, GGE-biplot
