DOI : 10.21566/tarbitderg.281254 - Conservation agriculture systems protecting the soil and plant have gradually began to spread become along with the development of environmental awareness. Conservation agricultural system significantly involves the methods of reduced tillage and direct planting in particular. In this study, it is aimed to extend the wheat varieties developed by Central Research Institute for Field Crops and direct seeding system which is one of the economic conservation agricultural in Kırıkkale province; to contribute the agricultural, social and cultural development of the region; to develop the collaboration between researcher, extension practitioner and producer. The extension studies have been conducted in the fields where fallow / wheat rotation is applied since fallow/wheat rotation is the most applied rotation system in the province according to the records of Kırıkkale Food, Agriculture and Livestock Directorate. The applications of producers, their thoughts on the extension of direct seeding system, recommendations and the problems encountered during production have been put forwards with the survey studies performed simultaneously. It has been determined that there is 72% decrease in variable costs and the system has been shown to the producers in practice in the wheat production fields of Kırıkkale by the demonstration works carried out during the study period. As a result of the study, it has been determined that increasing the promotions and encouraging incentives and supports are needed primarily in order to develop the recommended systems.
