Determination of Suitable Seed Rate on Summer Lentil (Lens culinaris Medik.) Cultivar Meyveci-2001

2 Tarla Bitkileri Merkez Araştırma Enstitüsü, Ankara - The aim of project was to determine the seed rate of summer lentil cv. Meyveci-2001 which was developed for Central Anatolian conditions by Central Research Institute for Field Crop (CRIFC). The experiment was conducted in CRIFC`s experimental research field in Haymana during 2005-2006. Five seed rates were investigated (75, 125, 175, 225 and 275 seed/m2). Experimental design was randomized complete block for three replications. Results showed that there was a significant difference between seed rates for seed yield of lentil. It was concluded that the most suitable seed rate for cv. Meyveci-2001 was 14.5 kg/da (213 seed/m2). Keywords : Lentil, seed rate, yield
