Effect of Different Zinc Levels to Grain Yield and Some Yield Components of Yerli Kırmızı Red Lentil Cultivar (Lens culinaris Medic) in Şanlıurfa-Ceylanpınar Conditions

DOI : 10.21566/tarbitderg.280485 Viewed : 418 - Downloaded : 327 This research aimed to determination of zinc of different zinc levels to yield and yield characteristics of Yerli Kırmızı lentil cultivar in Şanlıurfa-Ceylanpınar conditions.The study was conducted at zinc deficit areas of Ceylanpınar-TİGEM fields in the 2009-2010 years. Experimental design was randomized complete block design with four replicates. Zinc levels were control, 1 kg Zn/da, 2 kg Zn/da, 3 kg Zn/da and 4 kg Zn/da. Zinc sulphate was used as a zinc source. Plant height, number of pod per plant, harvest index, thousand kernel number and grain yield values of Yerli Kırmızı variety was affected positively from Zinc applications. According to regression and economic analyses, the most economical zinc dosage for Yerli kırmızı variety was found 0.9 kg/da.Soil analysis for Zinc should be performed before every application and advised dosage should be used for zinc.
